At least 22 people including seven cops were injured on Saturday in a clash between law enforcers and leaders and activists of Juba Dal, youth wing of BNP, during their 39th founding anniversary in Hajiganj in the district. Officer-in-charge of Hajiganj Police Station Jabedul Islam said seven police members including their Sub Inspector Main Uddin were injured during the clash. The clash occurred as police barred a procession of Juba Dal around 3 pm which continued for one and half hours, witnesses said. Later police charged baton and fired 14 rounds of tear shells on the agitators to control the situation, police said. The injured were rushed to the Upazila HealthComplex.
