7 killed in Pabna road crash

At least seven people were killed and 23 others injured in a head-on collision between two buses in Bahalbaria area on Pabna-Dhaka Highway in Santhia upazila of Pabna yesterday, reports UNB. Three of the deceased were identified as Ayet Ali Biswash, 50, son of Gafur Ali of Bagchipara village of sadar uapazila, Abul Kalam, 37, son of Makbul Pramanil and bus driver Ripon Hossain, 45. Identities of other deceased could not be known yet.

In-charge of Madhpur police out-post sub-inspector Anwarul Islam said a Kasinathpur bound bus collided head-on with another bus, killing five people on the spot injuring 25 others. Later two of the injured succumbed to their injuries at Santhia Upazila Health Complex.
