CU admission test forgery
BCL activist among seven detained

Four admission seekers and three members of a fraud gang, including a BCL man were detained at Chittagong University while giving the proxy at the admission test under 2017-18 academic sessions yesterday.
They were identified as Md Fahad and Mizanur Rahman both hailing from NoaKhali district, Tahid Al Kabir, hailing from Tangail district and Mushfiqur Salehin, hailing from Faridpur.
The fraud gang member were identified as Md Rafidul Haque, Md Shadullah, both are final year students of IER of Chittagong University. Another was Tuhin, a masters student of Chittagong College who is the leader of the gang.
Of them, Md Shadullah is assistant secretary of Chittagong University, Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) suspended committee and follower of HM Fazly Rabby Sujan, general secretary of the committee.
Acting on a tip off we caught Md Rafidul Haque and Md Shadullah before the night and then after searching their phones we found the admission seekers number and caught them while they sat for A unit exam alleging over proxy about at 10am. Getting information from them, the law enforcers arrested Tuhin who is the mastermind of the fraud gang, said CU proctor Md Ali Asgar Chowdhury.
Later, they were handed over to the Hathazari Police Station, said the proctor.
Mentionable, a day before the beginning of the admission tests of Chittagong University the law enforcers arrested a member of the fraud gang named Nazmul Kabir that helps admission seekers through electronic devices during the admission tests from the citys Baluchhara area. After that being informed from Nazmul Kabir police arrested another named Istiak Ahmed Sourab, he was also assistant secretary of Chittagong University, Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) BCL suspended committee. For this the Chittagong University authorities suspended its two students temporary on charge of fraud in CU intake test.
