Journo leaders for immediate announcement

Leaders of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) at a human chain in Mymnensingh yesterday demanded of the government for immediate announcement of the 9th Wage Board for enhancement of salary scales for journalists, reports BSS from Mymensingh.

They said journalists' community are passing their days with inhuman condition due to financial insolvency as the government is yet to format of the 9th Wage Board. The BFUJ and Mymensingh Union of Journalists (MUJ) jointly organised the human chain in front of Mymensingh Press club with BFUJ president Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul in the chair.  

The function was addressed, among others, by BFUJ General Secretary Omar Faruque, DUJ President Saban Mahmud and President of MUJ Ataul Karim.

Later, a view-exchange-meeting was held at the auditorium of Mymensingh Press Club.
