Comilla: A three-member probe body has been formed to investigate the faulty caesarean operation on a woman in a hospital in Daudkandi upazila where the operation was completed leaving one of two babies inside the mother's womb, reports UNB.
Daudkandi upazila health officer Dr Jalal Hossian on Friday night said the probe body was asked to submit report on Sunday. Legal action would be taken against the responsible physician once the probe report is available.
A show-cause notice has already been served to doctor Sheikh Hosneara who conducted the caesarean section on Khadija Akter, 22, wife of Awal Hossian, at Life Hospital and Digital Diagnostic Centre at Gouripur under Daudkandi upazila on September 18, he added.
After release from the hospital, she reported pain in her abdomen and was taken to different physicians but her pain was increasing.
Lastly, she was admitted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital on October 25.
