Seven held with gold bars

Customs Intelligence officials yesterday seized 12 gold bars weighing 1.334kg in separate drives at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and arrested seven people in this regard, reports BSS.

The arrestees are Kamal Hossain 34, Ahsan 32, Saiful Islam 35, Akhter Hossain 42, Abul 39, Ruhul Amin 48 and Mintu 48.

Customs Intelligence Director General Dr Moinul Khan confirmed the incident to BSS, adding, “Estimated cost of the seized gold is Taka 66.79 lakh”.
