Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid yesterday urged the madrasa teachers to play their due role to ensure quality education in madrasas, reports UNB. He came up with the call while addressing a function on the temporary campus of Islamic Arabic University in the capital. Speaking as the chief guest, Nahid said the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken various steps for the development of madrasa education.
As per the demand of Islamic scholars, the Islamic Arabic University has already been established, which will help the madrasa students to get higher education, he said.
Noting that honurs' course has been introduced in more than 50 madrasas in the country, the Education Minister said madrasa students should utilise the opportunity.
