CHITTAGONG: The authority of Chittagong University (CU) detained three suspected activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) with huge locally-made weapons from Alaol Hall of the university yesterday afternoon, reports BSS. Acting on secret information, CU administration along with police conducted a raid at the Shibir-dominated dormitory at around 3-30pm and recovered 10 iron rods, 10 iron pipes, five hockey-sticks, 40 sticks, four sacks of stones, huge Jihadi books, money receipt books and some other documents of ICS, said CU proctor Mohammad Ali Asgar Chowdhury. Legal actions will be taken against the arrestees after investigation, said Mohammad Ismail, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Hathazari police station. However, the names of the arrestees could not be known immediately.
