BNP ex-MP sent to jail

A court here on Monday sent former MP of Narayanganj-5 seat and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader sent to jail in an arsonic, vandalism and police assault case rejecting his bail prayer. Former lawmaker Advocate Abul Kalam, his son Kawsar Ahmed Asha and Saidul surrendered before a court yesterday and sought bail. The judge of speedy tribunal senior judicial magistrate KM Mohiuddin rejected bail prayer after hearing from both parties, court inspector Habibur Rahman confirmed.
