Shibir activist arrested in Ctg

CHITTAGONG: Police arrested an activist of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) from city's EPZ area on Monday morning, reports BSS. The arrestee was identified as Khorshedul Alam, 32, son of Aminur Rashid, hailing from Chhodaha village under Dhemsha union of Satkania upazila in the district. On receipt of a secret information, police arrested Khorshedul from Kalsidighi area under city's EPZ police station around 11am, said Shafiqul Islam, Sub-Inspector (SI) of the police station. Khorshedul led several sabotage acts and attacks on police in Satkania upazila after pronouncement of the verdict against Jamaat leader Delowar Hossain Saidee in the war crimes case last year, the SI said adding that Khorshedul was wanted in 15 cases.
