Admission process of 7 DU-affiliated colleges begins
The first year honours admission process of seven colleges affiliated with Dhaka University under 2017-18 session started on Wednesday.
DU Vice-chancellor Professor Akhtaruzzaman launched the admission process alongside a website for the seven colleges at a press conference at the administrative building of the university.
Admission seekers are asked to visit www.7college.du.ac.bd for details.
Sonali Bank Chairman Ashraful Moqbul, seven colleges' co-coordinator Professor Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam, Dhaka University Teacher's Association president Maksud Kamal, and deans of the university attended the press conference among others.
The affiliated colleges are Eden Mohila College, Dhaka College, Government Shaheed Suhrawardi College, Kabi Nazrul Government College, Begum Badrunnesa Government Women College, Government Bangla College in Mirpur and Government Titumir College.

‘Marketing Samurai 2017’ held at UIU
The most awaited and the biggest inter university marketing competition “Marketing Samurai 2017” kicked off on  October 23 at UIU auditorium, says a press release.
Vice-chancellor of UIU Prof Dr M Rezwan Khan inaugurated the programme. Head of Marketing of Akij Food and Beverage Limited (AFBL) Hindol Roy, Marketing Director of Gremeenphone Solaiman Alam, FVP and Head of Communication and Branding Division of Dhaka Bank Limited Khandaker Anwar Ehtesham, were present at the programme as special guest.
The competition has been organized by UIU Business Club. The competition is open for all universities’ students. The competition is based on 3 criteria marketing plan, product presentation and utmost business profit throughout the competition.  A total of 60 teams from 25 different public and private universities took parting the competition.
IBA (DU) team “Recognize” was Champion, another team “Hashtag” from IBA (DU) was 1st Runner up and NSU team “Clean State” was 2nd Runner up in the “Marketing Samurai 2017”.

Seminar on ‘Demand of Skilled IT Professional in Japan held at DIU
A seminar on ‘Demand of Skilled IT Professional in Japan’ was held at 71 Milonayoton of Daffodil International University that organized by CIS Department of DIU recently, says a press release.
Sasaki Toshiya, Representative Director, Japan Business Ability Authorised Association (JBAA) and Katsuhiro Mizuno, Director, JBAA conducted the seminar as keynote speaker.
Professor Dr Yousuf M. Islam, Vice-chancellor, DIU was present at the seminar as chief guest. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Executive Director, Daffodil Education Network and many others fresh graduates were also present at the seminar among others.    
Addressing as chief guest Professor Dr Yousuf M Islam said that Japan is a developed country in IT sector of the world. At present in Japan, IT professionals are highly demandable. Hope so this seminar will encourage the young students to build their career in Japan.
The seminar was concluded by a question-answer session.
