The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday filed a graft case against former chief engineer of Bangladesh
Power Development Board (BPDB) Md Shahidul Islam on charges acquiring wealth worth about Taka 24.42 lakh beyond known sources of income, reports BSS.
Deputy Director SMM Akhter Hamid Bhuiyan of the ACC filed the case under sections 26 (2) and 27 (1) of the Corruption Prevention Act, 2004, with Ramna Police Station.
In case details, it was alleged that Shahidul Islam earned illegal wealth of Taka 24.42 lakh and concealed the information in the asset details submitted to the ACC.
The ACC gave approval for filing the case as it found the former chief engineer of PDB guilty in acquiring illegal wealth.
