President reaches London

President Abdul Hamid reached London yesterday afternoon for health checkup and treatment of his eyes, reports UNB. "The President reached London at 4:30 pm (local time) by a VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. Bangladesh High Commissioner to UK Nazmul Quaunine received Abdul Hamid at the airport," Abul Kalam Azad, deputy press secretary to the President, told UNB. Abdul Hamid is scheduled to have his checkup at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Bupa Cromwell Hospital.

He is expected to return home on October 29 next.

Earlier, the 74-year-old President underwent health checkup there last April.
