DU student goes missing in Rupsa river

A student of Dhaka University had gone missing in Purba Rupsa ghat area under Rupsa thana in Khulna on Thursday night, reports UNB. The missing student was identified as Khalid Hasan, 21, a 3rd year student of Pharmacy Department of the university, and son of Jalal Uddin, hailing from Shariatpur district. Md Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Rupsa Police Station, said that Khalid slipped into river around 8:00 pm while he getting up into the trawler along with his brother Jahid Hasan and went missing. Md Mojibur Rahman, contingent commander of Rupsa Station West Zone Coast Guard, said that they are carrying out the rescue drive.
