Internationally acclaimed Indo-Bangla joint venture film ‘Shankhachil’ will be screened today at 7:30pm at the National Art Plaza of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in the capital, as a part of the ongoing 16-day ‘Bangladesh Film Festival 2017’.
On the other hand, ‘Suprovat’--a Bangladeshi drama film directed by Kabir Anwar--will be screened at 3pm and ‘Danga’--an action drama film written and directed by Kazi Hayat--will be screened at 5:15pm at the same venue.
Jointly produced by Impress Telefilms and Ashirbad Cholochitro, ‘Shankhachil’ is a historical drama film directed by celebrated Indian filmmaker Goutam Ghose. The story of the film revolves around the border tragedy about a couple and their ailing daughter. The film has been produced based on the different stories of border incident. Different types of emotion, family crisis, affection and frustration have been portrayed in the film. The film also shows that how a family suffers when the borderline runs through their house.
In the film, Prosenjit and Kusum Sikder are playing the lead roles. The other most important casts of the film include Bangladeshi actors Mamunur Rashid, Rosy Siddiqui, Prabir Mitra and Anum Rahman Khan.
