Oman, who spoiled and blocked some of the Malaysian scoring opportunities including penalty corner, got a chance to reduce arrears when Salmeen Al Nofali converted a penalty corner in the 24th minute.
This time Malaysia concentrated more on getting penalty corner and that they won their strategy and Shahril Saabah converted another penalty corner on the 26th minute.
In the last five minute of the third quarter, Malaysia stretched the margin further when they converted two penalty corner chances through Amirol Arshad and Najmi Jazlam slotted home on the 40th and 43rd minute respectively.
