XINHUA, HANOI: New statistics show average hotel rate in Vietnam’s Hanoi capital city went up significantly to 108 US dollars per night in the third quarter of this year, up 26 per cent over the same period last year.
The latest report from real estate consultancy firm Savills showed a five-star hotel room in Hanoi now costs an average of 151 US dollars a night, up 38 per cent on-year amid strong increase of international arrivals in the first nine months of 2017.
Room rates at four and three-star hotels also went up slightly to 73 US dollars and 48 US dollars per night, respectively.
The number of hotel rooms in Hanoi expanded 8 percent to 9,840, while foreign visitors to the city surged 24 per cent to around 3.5 million, according to the municipal Statistics Office.
The average rate of a five, four or three-star hotel room in Ho Chi Minh City is 118 US dollars, 67 US dollars and 43 US dollars per night, said Savills.
