Workshop on aquaculture held in capital

Speakers at a workshop on aquaculture said the fisheries sector will play an important role in the achievement SDGs.

Bangladesh Shrimp and Fish Foundation (BSFF) in collaboration with Department of Fisheries and support from the Ministry of Commerce and Swisscontact-Katalyst organised the workshop for greater support for fisheries and aquaculture sector in Bangladesh, a press statement said.

The workshop emphasised the important of increasing public sector investment in the fisheries sector.

Kazi M Aminul Islam, executive chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority, attended the programme as chief guest. Syed Mahmudul Huq, chairman of BSFF, presided over the programme.
