A daylong ‘Harry Potter Festival’ will be held today in the British Council in the capital, reports UNB.
The British Council Bangladesh is hosting Harry Potter Festival to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Bloomsbury publishing Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
The festival will be held at five public libraries as part of its collaboration with the public libraries under the Libraries Unlimited which is another British Council Project.
The festival will feature art competition, magic show by Jewel Aich, panel discussion, treasure hunt, quizzes and games, wizards classroom, magic potion classroom while it will arrange an exhibition titled ' Diagon Alley: Exhibition of Harry Potter props'.
Harry Potter is a series of fantasy novels written by British author J. K. Rowling while the first novel 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was released on 26 June 1997.
The series has been translated into 67 languages while all seven books have been released in unabridged audio book versions, with Stephen Fry reading the UK editions and Jim Dale voicing the series for the American editions.
