DU Mourning Day today

Dhaka University (DU) authorities have chalked out an elaborate programme to observe the mourning day today on the campus in a befitting manner, reports BSS.

The day is being observed as the mourning day since 1985 in memory of those resident and non-resident students, employees and guests killed in a building collapse (former Assembly House) at Jagannath Hall of the university, said a Dhaka University (DU) press release in Dhaka yesterday. The incident claimed 39 lives, including students and employees of the hall.
