Joint exercise on earthquake preparedness concludes

The eighth annual Disaster Response Exercise and Exchange (DREE)-2017 co-hosted by Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief (MoDMR), Armed Forces Division (AFD) and United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) concluded yesterday at Army Golf Club, reports BSS. Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations & Training) Air Vice Marshal Mashiuzzaman Serniabat graced the occasion as chief guest, an ISPR release said.

"We shall continue our effort to enhance our capacity in disaster management. Together we have to combine our efforts to make a resilient society by rendering our utmost to the distressed humanity in all sorts of disaster situations across the globe," Air Vice Marshal Serniabat said.

Deputy Chief of Mission, US Embassy, Joel Reifman, Brigadier General Bryan E. Suntheimer, Deputy Commanding General, Army National Guard, Director General, Department of Disaster Management, Md Reaz Ahmed and Director General Operations and Plan Directorate, AFD Brigadier General Azazul Bar Chowdhury were present as special guests.
