Abdul Jabbar's chehlum today

The chehlum of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra singer Abdur Jabbar will be held at 11 am today at Kalabagan playground in capital’s Dhanmondi area, reports BSS.

Jabbar's family members are organizing the chehlum and doa mahfil seeking eternal peace of departed soul.

“We are organising the event with assistance of local MP Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh for Jabbar's numerous fans and well-wishers,” Halima Jabbar, wife of legendry singer Abdul Jabbar, told BSS yesterday.

The lunch on the occasion will start at 12 noon, she said.

The preeminent singer, Abdul Jabbar, breathed his last at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) due to multi-organ failure on August 30 at the age of 79.
