Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) designed a plan to accord a colourful welcome to Queen’s Baton Relay team of Commonwealth Games, which will arrive tomorrow (Monday) at the Shahjalal International Airport from London with the message of Queen.
It is a regular norm that before every Commonwealth Games, a team from the organisng country travelled to 71 Commonwealth countries with the message of Queen Elizabeth.
Meanwhile, Australia will organise the 21st Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast from April 4-15, 2018 and a team from Australia started their travel with a message of Queen Elizabeth from Buckingham Place on March 13, 2017 and will arrive in Australia on December 24.
However, the team after their arrival will be given a colourful reception at the Shahjalal Airport with a motor rally to Hotel Radisson Blue.
Led by Carry Thomson, a four-member the team will come Bangladesh as the 52nd country when they will land at the airport at 4:20pm tomorrow and will leave on October 12 for Sri Lanka.
BOA secretary general Syed Shahed Reza, who is nominated as the representative of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGMF), will be receive them at the VVIP Lounge.
