Water levels in 14 rivers stations across the country monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises and 37 stations recorded falls,
reports BSS.
Among the 84 monitored water level stations, one is flowing above the danger level, a bulletin issued by FFWC said today.
The Brahmaputra-Jamuna river systems are in rising trend. The Brahmaputra may remain steady while the Jamuna may likely to rise in next 24 hours. The Ganges-Padma are in falling trend which may likely to start rising in next 48 hours.
The Surma-Kushiyara river systems are in falling trend which may likely to continue in next 48 hours.
A total of 77 mm rainfall was recorded during last 24 hours ending at 6 am today at Lorergarh, 70 mm at Teknaf, 49 mm at Kanaighat, 46 mm at Sunamganj.
