Huawei introduces MateBook for businesses

Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) introduced ‘Huawei MateBook’, a two-in-one laptop specially designed for evolving business users.

Speaking at the launching of three variants of the MateBook, at a hotel in the capital on Thursday, CEO of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Zhao Haofu said “With a focus on the needs of the every-growing number of tech-savvy professionals around the world, and especially in booming economies such as Bangladesh, Huawei has always strived to bring innovative technologies within the reach of people.”

He also said, “The MateBook, packed with innovative and highly useful features for the business professionals of the modern world, is our latest endeavor to introduce greater convenience in the lives of our valuable customers”

The MateBook series is now available for bulk purchase by interested business entities and it would not be displayed in Bangladesh, Zhang Lin, president of Huawei Enterprise Business Group for South East Asia region.

Addressing the programme, State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak said “As a global brand by representing many countries, I would request Huawei to make a manufacturing plant in Bangladesh in near future because our government is offering 10 per cent cash incentives on export of all IT products which has started from this year”

“We want to see Huawei MateBook product which will be purely a Bangladeshi made product in Bangladesh in near future,” Palak added.   

Speaking at the launching programme as a chief guest, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said, “We are expecting that Bangladesh will be a digital country by 2021 and Huawei will get all types of facilities from our government if they will set up a manufacturing plant in Bangladesh in near future”

Talking about the product features, president of Huawei Enterprise Business Group Zhang Lin said “Combining the mobility of a smartphone with the power and productivity of a laptop, the MateBook is designed with simplicity in mind”

He also said, “With minimal embellishment and a sleek appearance, the device is made of high-quality aluminum unibody that is both elegant and sophisticated. The MateBook features a strong protective body to withstand the rigors of an on-the-go lifestyle, and its slim profile and ultra-low weight of just 640g makes it ideal to take anywhere”

Huawei officials said that The MateBook series run on Windows 10 and are powered by 7th Generation Intel® Core™ processors putting high-speed processing power and essential business productivity tools. The devices offer up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 256GB solid-state drive with option to choose up to 1TB hard disk drive.

Utilizing a unique stacked hardware process, Huawei has been able to deliver a fan-less design, ensuring zero noise when the MateBook is in use. It has also Dolby Atmos Sound System audio technology and dual digital microphones and dual speakers, officials added.   

The MateBook series is now available for bulk purchase by interested organizations.
