Finance Minister AMA Muhith has claimed that the country’s overall
law-and-order situation is good barring some stray incidents, reports UNB.
“Except for several murders, the overall law-and-order situation is quite good,” he said yesterday while talking to reporters after distributing food at a Children Home at Bagbari in the city marking the 40th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
It is natural that when murders take place, everyone thinks there is a slide in the law and order, observed the minister.
He also said the government has already appointed 35,000 police members while 50,000 more will be recruited during its tenure to maintain the law and order situation.
