Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader yesterday said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate nine bridges in six districts of the country on August 20, reports BSS.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate these bridges from her official residence Ganobhaban in the capital through the video conference.
The minister told this to journalists while he paid a visit to Madanpur at Naryanganj on Dhaka-Chittagong highway this afternoon to see for him
self the implementation of ban on the plying of three-wheelers on the highways.
He said the construction of 1752 kilometers highway across the country has already been completed with the financial assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Construction of 600 kilometers more highways would be commenced soon, he added.
