Speakers at a discussion in Rangpur on Monday said skilled human resources can enhance productivity in every sector to attain sustainable development goals (SDGs) for building a middle income nation by 2021 and developed Bangladesh by 2041.
The views were expressed at a discussion organised in observance of the National Productivity Day-2017 with the theme of “Productivity for Sustainable Development and Growth” at conference room of the Deputy Commissioner in the city.
The district administration with Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) organised a rally followed by the discussion on the occasion.
Government and non-government officials, chamber leaders, industrialists, entrepreneurs, students, teachers, civil society members, journalists and local elites participated in the programmes.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Wahiduzzaman attended the discussion as the chief guest with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Ruhul Amin Mian in the chair.
President of RCCI Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu addressed the discussion as special guest.
Sohrab Chowdhury urged the National Productivity Organisation for organizing training programmes to produce technologically educated and skilled human resources to enhance productivity in industrial, agriculture, service and all other sectors.
He laid emphasis on innovating newer technologies through conducting time-befitting training and research works to attain sustainable economic growth in every sector.
