Man jailed for murder

Chittagong: A Chittagong court yesterday sentenced a man to life-term imprisonment for killing his elder brother over family feud at Alipur village of Hathazari upazila of the district six years back, reports BSS.

The 2nd court of Chittagong Additional District and Sessions Judge Nazrul Islam pronounced the verdict against Motaher Hossain.

According to the prosecution, Motaher stabbed his elder brother Nurul Abser to death over family feud on October 25, 2011. Victim’s wife Salma Akter filed a murder case on the same day against Motaher with Hathazari police station. Police submitted charge sheet accusing Motaher on January 17, 2012.
