Man held with firearm
Police in a drive arrested an alleged firearms trader from Kafrul area of the capital on Thursday night. The arrestee was Md Rubel Faraizi alias Sundori Rubel. Talking to The Independent, Additional Deputy Police Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (Media and Public Relation) AKM Jahangir Alam confirmed the news. He said on secrete information, a team of Kafrul police raided in Kafrul area and arrested the Ruble around 8:30pm on Thursday. They also seized one foreign-made pistol and three rounds of bullets from Rubles possession, ADC Jahangir said. During the preliminary interrogation, Rubel admitted his involvement in the illegal firearms trading in the city for long time. A case was filed in this connection.
