The rain-affected second match between Bangladesh U-19 cricket team and its Afghan counterparts has finally been abandoned due to the showers at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium (SICS) in Sylhet yesterday.
The match, which was stopped three times at 10:11am, 11:54am and 1:16pm, has been set maximum 45 overs for each side. Put in to bat, Bangladeshi youth managed to muster 182 for nine in 43 overs with Mohamamd Rakib topscoring for the youth Tigers with 46. Rakib clobbered half-a-dozen fours in his 57-ball knock before being bowled by Mujeeb ur Rahman, who claimed three wickets for 23.
