62nd joint Mekong patrol completed

The 62^nd joint law enforcement patrol along the Lancang-Mekong complished on September 22.

The four-day, three-night operation included emergency drills in the waters of Laos and the Golden Triangle region. These were carried out under the joint leadership of the four participating countries. China and Laos also carried out joint policing efforts at Lao liaison points in a bid to enhance the comprehensive law enforcement capacity of the international patrol force.

Since the first patrol in December, 2011, the safty and stability has been maintained along the Mekong River.   (Xinhua)
