Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan Papon will visit the makeshift camps for the distressed Rohingya minority Muslim people in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday.
The president is expected to inaugurate a free medical camp for Rohingya people at Balukhali Army camp-2 (new) at Thaingkhali (village) at Palongkhali Union, Ukhiya in Cox’s Bazar.
More than four lakh Rohingya people fled from Arakan province in the face of brazen atrocities, mass killings, burnings and raping and took shelters in different makeshift camps in Bangladesh following the crackdown of Myanmar military and its local collaborators on Rohingyas since August 25.
The government of Bangladesh alongside different national and international organizations extended their helping hands to these distressed minority Muslim community.
It’s learnt that BCB president will give an announcement to stand by Rohingyas and declare solidarity with them during the launching ceremony of the free medical camp.
Earlier, Bangladesh iconic all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, of late, went to visit as UNICEF national goodwill ambassador in Cox’s Bazar, whereby he talked with them and heard their heart-rending stories. Later he on his verified facebook page urges all to come forward to helping the hapless Rohingyas.
