Nurul Islam, chairman of Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar of MetLife, has been re-elected president of American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham), while Shadab Ahmed Khan, managing director of Coca-Cola Bangladesh Ltd, was elected vice president of the association, a press statement said yesterday.
They were elected at the 21st Annual General Meeting of AmCham held at hotel in the capital yesterday.
Nurul Islam joined American Life Insurance Company in Bangladesh in 1981, before which he briefly worked at Fisons (Bangladesh) Ltd, subsidiary of a British pharmaceutical company, it said.
Shadab Khan joined Coca-Cola India in 2007 as the McDonalds Business Manager for India and Srilanka and has post that worked in various roles in Account Management, Commercial Strategy and most recently as the Country Manager for Nepal and Bhutan. He has been based in Dhaka since July 2014.
