Speakers at a function today stressed the need for ensuring quality education to the students and making the female students empowered to build an enlightened nation, reports BSS. "In this context, the heads of the institutions, teachers, members of the governing body and the guardians can play vital role in their respective institution to attain the cherished goal through their cordial efforts", they said. They made the comments while addressing an inaugural session of a workshop at the auditorium of Gaibandha government college of the town.
Stipend Giving to Degree (Pass) and Equivalent Level Learners project which is being implemented across the country since December 2011 organized the workshop at the management of Sadar upazila secondary education office. Prof. Syed M Mojammel Haque, project director, formally inaugurated it as the chief guest and district education officer M Kutub Uddin was present as the special guests while principal of Gaibandha government college Prof. M Zahedul Islam in the chair. The speakers also urged the teachers' community to be serious, dedicated, more professional and symbol of principles for improving education standard to turn their institutions into knowledge acquiring centres for making students as worthy citizens.
