Special screening of ‘Aynabaji’ September 30

Eminent director Amitabh Reza Choudhury’s debut film ‘Aynabaji’, which went on to become the biggest hit film of the recent years, is going to celebrate the completion of its first year this September 30. On the occasion of the film’s first anniversary, a special screening will be arranged on the same day at Shyamoli Cinema in the capital.

The cast and crew of the film, including director and producers, will attend the special show. Amitabh Reza Choudhury said, “The film is a milestone in the country’s film history. Though the film was telecast on television, the film will be screened with English subtitle this time to bring the audience back to the cinema hall. I am thankful Shyamoli Cinema authority for allowing the viewers to watch the movie once again on the big screen.”

During its one year journey, the film ‘Aynabaji’ was screened in the Marché du Film section of the 69th edition of Cannes Film Festival 2016,  won ‘Best Narrative Film’ award at the 11th edition of Seattle South Film Festival 2016 in the United States and won the Best Film award at the 16th Tele-Cine Award in Kolkata.

Popular actor Chanchal Chowdhury has played the main character. Besides the director, actress Nabila and singer-turned-actor Partha Barua made their film debut through the film. The film saw its release on September 30 last year and recorded house-full shows for consecutive four weeks. Produced by Content Matters, the film also includes popular actors Lutfor Rahman George, Hera Chowdhury, Shawkat Osman, Brindaban Das, Gousul Alam Shaon and Iffat Trisha, among others,  different roles in the film.
