Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman HM Ershad was hospitalised here on Tuesday night as he felt unwell, reports UNB from Rangpur.
He was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Rangpur, said his personal assistant Major (retd) Khaled Akhter.
He said Ershad was attending a party programme in the city's Chankuthi area on Tuesday night. As he felt unwell while returning to his residence, he was taken to the CMH around 8:30 pm.
Now, his condition is well and he might be released from the hospital on Wednesday night, the PA said. Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa, president of city unit Jatiya Party, said the JP chief was scheduled to attend two programmes yesterday.
However, these were cancelled following his illness.
