Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team will face off its Afghanistan counterparts in the first match of the five-match one-day youth series at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium (SICS) in Sylhet today.
The match will kick off at BST 9:00 am.
The visiting side arrived in Dhaka on September 25. They held a training session in Sylhet after flying from Dhaka on September 26.
And Bangladesh took off on September 19. They played two practice matches against Sylhet Divisional XI on September 22 and 24 respectively before going into the main series.
After the postponement of the tri-nation series in India, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) arranged the series against Afghanistan as a part of their preparation of the ACC U-19 Asia Cup and ICC U-19 World Cup.
The Asia Cup and World Cup for the youth will be held in Malaysia and New Zealand in the difference of the two month. The youth Asia Cup will be held in November 9-20, and World Cup will be played in January 13 to February 3.
