Two drug traders jailed

CHITTAGONG: A Chittagong court on Tuesday sentenced two drug traders to 10 years of imprisonment for possessing and trading country-made liquor, court sources said, reports BSS.

The 5th Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Nur-E-Alam delivered the judgment convicting Mosharraf Hossain and Mohammad Jafar hailed from Mirsarai upazila of the district.

The court also fined them Taka 10,000 each, in default; they will have to suffer one year more imprisonment.

The court also acquitted Rahima Begum, wife of Mosharraf Hossain, and his accomplice Mohammad Shahid as charges brought out against them could not be proved.
