World Lung Day observed at NIDCH
The World Lung Day was observed in the capital on Monday at National Institute of Diseases of Chest Hospital (NIDCH), Mohakhali in the capital for the first time, says a press release.
Asthma Association, Bangladesh oranised the programme. The theme of the day was Everyone has the right to breath clean air and to have healthy lungs. Marking the day Asthma Association Bangladesh distributed poster all over the country.
A rally was brought out from the from NIDCH. Doctors, nurses, officers and employee of NIDCH participated in the rally.
A scientific seminar and relevant discussion was also arranged at Doctor Narayan Chandda Dutta Nitai Auditorium of NIDCH, supported by Beximco Pharma.
A welcome speech was delivered by secretary general of Asthma Association and Director cum Professor Dr Md Shahedur Rahman Khan. A panel of experts of the scientific seminar was formed by 1) Professor Dr Md Ali Hossain 2) Professor Dr Krishna Chandra Ganguly 3) Professor Khairul Hassan Jessy 4) Professor Dr Md. Kamrul Islam 5) Dr Md Abdul Qayyum, associate professor and 6) Dr Md Zakir Hossain Sarker, associate professor delivered their opinions.
Dr Syed Rezaul Huq, associate professor conducted the seminar as moderator. The meeting was presided over by Professor Dr Bashir Ahmed, President, Asthma Association Bangladesh.
