Rly contractor killed in road crash

RAJSHAHI: A railway contractor was killed in a road accident at Nawdapar Bus Terminal in the city on Tuesday night, reports UNB.

Quoting witnesses, police said the accident took place a speedy truck knocked down Babu Sheikh alias Bang Babu, a railway contractor by profession, when he was crossing a road, leaving him injured severely.

Later, pedestrians took Babu, a resident of Shiroil in the city, to Nawdapara Islami Bank Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, said officer-in-charge of Boalia Model Police Station Aman Ullah.
