One killed in Jessore road accident

JESSORE: A rickshaw-van puller was killed and two others were injured as a truck hit his van in Khalkanda area under Monirampur upazila of the district yesterday morning, reports BSS.

The victim was identified as Mojaffar, 30, of Sirajsinga village in Sadar upazila.

Police said the accident occurred when a fish-laden truck hit the rickshaw-van from opposite direction in the area at about 10 am, leaving the van puller Mojaffar dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured were sent to a local hospital.
