Four jailed for murder

COMILLA: A court here on Tuesday sentenced four people to life term imprisonment in a case filed for killing a man in Megna upazila here in 2005, reports UNB.

The lifers are Idullah Mia, son of Abdul Aziz, Saifullah, son of Khalil Mia, Shahadat, son of Tukku Mia, Entaz Mia, son of Kholil Mia of Chandanpur village of Meghna upazila.

Judge Nur Nahar Begum of Comilla Additional district and Sessions Judge Court- 4 delivered the verdict.

According to the case statement, the convicts killed Saudi expatriate Abdul Momen Khandakar, son of Abdul Majid, on July 12 in 2005 as they had illicit relations with Momen’s wife.

Later victim’s brother filed a murder case with Meghna Police station.
