SAVAR: A panther which was held from Madhumoti Town in Baliapur area in Savar died at Bangladesh National Zoo in capital city Dhaka on Monday, reports UNB.
The locals caught the panther from this town on September 17 and gave it a good beating. Later they handed over the panther to the National Zoo.
Dr SM Nazrul Islam, Curator of the National Zoo said this panther received critical injuries in the hands of the locals.
The panther succumbed to injuries at the zoo on Monday, he added.
