The government has appointed Kazi Imtiaz Hossain, currently the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Australia, as the next Ambassador of Bangladesh to France, reports UNB.
Before his appointment in Australia he was Ambassador of Bangladesh to Thailand from 2010-2014 and Permanent Representative of the country to the UNESCAP in Bangkok.
In his diplomatic career, he also served in Bangladesh Missions in China, Switzerland, India and USA in different capacities.
A career diplomat, Imtiaz Hossain belongs to the 1986 batch of BCS Foreign Affairs Cadre. He successfully completed several professional training courses at home and abroad, and represented Bangladesh at a number of international conferences and seminars on a variety of issues.
He holds a post-graduate degree in Accounting from the University of Dhaka and a Diploma in International Relations and Diplomacy from the International Institutes of Public Administration (IIAP), Paris, France.
