‘Govt working for uplift of edn sector’

GAIBANDHA: Whip of the Jatiya Sangshad and local lawmaker Mahabub Ara Begum Gini yesterday said the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly since 2009 for uplift of overall education sector, reports BSS.

“Infrastructural development at the academic institutions of the country is being done to create good and congenial atmosphere for the students to receive education from the teachers enthusiastically,” she said.

Gini said this while addressing an inaugural ceremony of an academic building of Bridge Road Government Primary School at the district town this noon as the chief guest.

She said initiatives had been taken to ensure quality teaching to the students so that they could face the challenges of 21st century.

Mayor of Gaibandha Municipality Advocate Shah Masud Zahangir Kabir Milon, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Alia Ferdous Zahan, Organizing Secretary of District Awami League Mridul Mostafi Jhantu, Sadar Upazila Engineer of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Abul Kalam Azad and Chairperson of the school managing committee M Tasher Ali were present, among others, on the occasion.

LGED implemented the construction work of the school building at a cost of Taka 75.50 lakh.
