Mugger held in Sylhet

An alleged mugger was caught red handed while he was fleeing after snatching purse from a woman at Rekabibazar in the city on Thursday afternoon. The arrestee was identified as Musa,25, son of Nazim Uddin, a resident of Kulaura Upozila. Police sources said two muggers riding a motorcycle intercepted a woman on a rickshaw and snatched away a purse from her possession at  Rikabibazar around 1.00pm. Utpal Sarkar, sub-inspector of Kotwali  Police Station, said police arrested a mugger with the help of local people while his associate managed to flee.
