Eight matches held on Day I

Eight first round matches were decided on the first day of the Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football Tournament at BFF artificial ground in the cap[ital yesterday.

Twenty four print, electronic and online media houses divided into three groups are taking part in the tournament. BFF senior vice-president Abdus Salam Murshedi inaugurated the tournament as chief guest. Jesmin Zaman, senior marketing manager Square Toiletiries, BFF general secretary Abu Sohag Nayeem, BSJA general secretary Junaid Hossain also spoke at the opening ceremony. BSJA President Saidur Rahman Shamim presided over the ceremony.

The following were Monday’s results:

Jagonews.com beat Samoy TV 2-1, Daily Star beat  Jugantar 2-1, Dhaka Tribune beat Bangladesh Pratidin 7-0, Baishaki TV beat BSS 5-0, Bangla Vision TV beat Naya Diganta 1-0, Janakantha drew 1-1 with Amader Samoy and Daily Samakal drew 2-2 with Daily Sangbad.
