DU postpones Sept 28 master’s examinations of affiliated colleges
Dhaka University (DU) today postponed the September 28 final examinations of master’s courses of seven affiliated colleges under academic session
2013-14 due to unavoidable circumstance, said a DU release here.
The postponed examinations will be held on November 1 while schedule of other examinations will remain unchanged, the release added.
The seven affiliated colleges are Dhaka College, Eden Mohila College, Government Shaheed Suhrawrdy College, Kabi Nazrul Government College, Begum Badrunnesa Government Mohila College, Mirpur Government Bangla College and Government Titumir College.
Talent Festival of Dhaka Cantonment Girls School and College ends
The Talent Festival-2017 of Dhaka Cantonment Girls School and College ended on Saturday on its premises in the capital.
Major General Ataul Hakim Sarwar distributed prizes among the winners of different categories of the competition at a function as the chief guest, an ISPR press release said.
Senior officials of Bangladesh Army, teachers and students, among others, were present at the function.
The competitions included book readying, hand writing, general knowledge, story writing and spelling (Bangla and English).
Major General Ataul Hakim Sarwar said students should participate in extra-curricula activities alongside their studies for becoming worthy citizens of the country.
He urged the students to acquire knowledge on information and communication technology to make themselves as competent workforce.
Seminar on “Teaching-Learning Quality Enhancement in Geology and Mining” held at RU
A day-long seminar on “Teaching-Learning Quality Enchantment in Geology and Mining” organized by Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) in association with the department of Geology and Mining of Rajshahi University (RU) was held at the Dean’s complex of the university on Sunday.
Chairman of the department professor Dr Kh Emamul Haque and also sub project manager (SPM) of HEQEP presided over the programme while its Associate Prof Imrahim Adham moderated it. Pro-vice-chancellor of RU Prof Dr Ananda Kumar Saha addressed the function as chief guest.
Among others, Director of IQAC of the university Prof Dr. Mushfique, Director General (Rtd) of Geological Survey of Bangladesh Dr. A. K. M. Khorshed Alam, Manager of Geological Division of BAPEX Muhammad Josim Uddin Shak, Prof Dr. Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan of Geology and Mining dept, GTI of Bangladesh Agriculture University Pro Dr Md Mozahar Ali spoke.
Autumn festival today at JU
A day-long autumn festival titled ‘Amretoborshini’ will be held at the Jahangirnagar University campus here today.
Teacher and Student Center of the university will organise the function to welcome the autumn season in the evening.
Director of TSC Professor Bashir Ahmed said yesterday.
Vice-chancellor (VC) Professor Farzana Islam will be expected to inaugurate the function as chief guest, he said.
Pro VC Professor Abul Hossain (Academic), Pro VC Professor Amir Hussain (Administration), Treasurer Professor Sheikh Monjurul Huq will present at the function as special guest, he added.
