Science Cafe held at Savar

A science-based programme titled Science Caf was held yesterday at the BUDS School and College in Savar.
Science Garden, a science based voluntary initiative organised the function with a view to creating awareness of science among the school level students.
Adviser of Science Garden, noted physicist and the Professor of Physics Department of Jahangirnagar University (JU) Dr AA Mamun addressed the function as chief guest.
Addressing the function, Professor A A Mamun said, The young students will lead the advanced science and technology based sectors in future. So, it is our responsibility to introduce them with modern science and technologies.
Presided over by the Chairman of Buds School and College Ahsan Mahmud, around 500 students were present at the programme.
The events of the function were included with scientific quiz competition, science-motivation, project show and ending session.
Around 500 students of the school, teachers and guardians took part at the function.
At the ending session of the programme, prizes awarded among the winner of the quiz competition.
We found a lot of response from students, guardians and teachers. We will organise such type of programme at total of 20 schools in Savar as a part of our activities, said Senior Executive Officer of Science Garden Abu Sayeed.
Mentionable, Science Garden, a science based organisation is working to highlight the science popularization policy of Bangladesh Government and to make scientific phenomenon popular among the school level students and insuring sustainable application of science.
